A singer/songwriter from Birmingham, Alabama, Matt Herren plays in a genre that seems hard to pin down. At times he seems to meddle in the alternative contemporary zone but then follows it with a real world Alt-country tune that continues to dance in your head for hours. His original music has a flare for very visual lyrics and the simple rhythms make his music easy and enjoyable on a nice hot Alabama afternoon. Adding to Herren's music is the ever present and delightful rhythms produced by Curly Frye, another native of Birmingham. Their chemistry creates an intimate musical experience that is absolutely addictive.
