MARMOT formed in 2022 in Des Moines, and consists of former members of Idiot Box, Audiowaves and Superquiet. They began writing songs that radiate with influence from Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, My Chemical Romance, Soundgarden, even Coheed & Cambria—with guitars, bass and drums creating a rich foundation for singer Rob Strain’s heartfelt writing and powerful vocals. MARMOT also includes Nick Anderson (lead guitar), Richard DeFrancisco (guitar), and Jason Stewart (drums).
Their first EP "The Last of the Leaves" was released April of 2023.
The band has received repeat airplay on Rock 108 www.rock108.com and been featured on villin.net playlists
