Multi-talented stylist, recording, visual artist, and all around fierce fashionable femme, Margeaux Simms, is soon releasing her new EP titled Black Cocaine. The EP consists of four short music videos: “Bad Chick,” “Black Cocaine,” “Insane,” and “Killer Cops,” which she co directed and wrote in collaboration with Finnish Producer Jaakko Manninen. Bio
Margo Simms known professionally as Margeaux (/mɑːrˈɡoʊ/), is a Canadian singer, songwriter, fashion designer and television personality. She achieved recognition for appearing on the VH1 reality television series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, alongside her husband Nikko London. Born in Toronto, Canada, she first pursued her music career in 2004. While attending Ryerson University, where she studied fashion design, Margeaux first started singing on hip hop tracks. In 2005, she moved to New York City, to become a fashion designer, but soon decided to start a career as a professional musician. She formed the group Test Drive with Nikko London and together they worked with producers such as Timbaland, Danja and The Runners along with DJ Khaled.
After their unsuccessful record deal with Universal, Margeaux relocated to Los Angeles, California and began working on her solo material. She released her debut EP, Animal House, in 2010 under the name Margo. She went on to work on various music projects including the dubstep duo Invaderz, and joining the band Roma playing lead guitar!, after her return to New York City, where she worked as a song writer for various artists while bartending at the nightclub and concert venue Webster Hall. In 2015, Margeaux became a regular cast member on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and released her single Start a War produced by fellow Canadian producer Young Wolf Hatchlings, on her label HOFM. She later released the video to start a war which she directed and produced. Margeaux has just released her latest single and video "Girl on the Left" produced by Finnish producer Jaakko Maninen on 4/20. Margeaux will release a new EP in the fall of 2016.
