Marc and Paula spent their year of social isolation writing songs together and working up their sets for when the world opens up again. 12 Songs later they had an album of uplifting spirited songs called "Love Can Shine Through". They booked the Kitchen Sink Studio with Jono Manson engineering and recorded a CD of original music titled “Love Can Shine Through”. A few singles were released and posted on their website and has already garnered 3 New Mexico Music Award nominations for Best Vocal of the year, Best Singer Songwriter and Best Engineer. Paula Rhea receiving the Award for BEST VOCAL PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR 2021. The Roadside Distraction Band is a five piece, consisting of Paula Rhae on Lead Vocals, Marc Malin, Guitars and Vocals, Russell Scanlon on Bass, Doug Franz on Keyboard and Bob Lennon on Drums.
We can be booked as a Duo, Trio or Full Band.
