Manta Donkey Hawk was formed in the spring of 2015 in Boston, Massachuttes with the idea of creating a keyboard power trio in search of a new sound. Guido Consoli, the manta, brings from the deep ocean his expertise in synthesizers and vintage keyboards. Juan Mejia, the donkey, tastefully adds the steady pulse and strong kick on the drums. Gianluca Girard, the Hawk, oversees the low end of the harmony with his intricate bass texture. The three come together to form a unique super group, playing original compositions that span the genres of progressive rock and psychedelic jazz. Each member adds his own cultural influence: Guido from Argentina, Juan from Columbia and Gianluca from Brazil. Manta Donkey Hawk is busy preparing material for their first studio album.
