Philadelphia native Malisa Jones continues to break ground and pave her own way as a musical artist that mixes pop, soul and sass. Singing since the age of three, Malisa says she always knew she was meant to be a singer and a songwriter. "Growing up in a musical house hold she was cultured by her father and mother whom also held a deep love for music.Though pop and soul bring to life her tales with regards to matters of the heart. Don't expect every song to resemble any other. Malisa eagerly lets music and the world around her carry her work to new and different heights. While others strive to "think outside the box", Malisa has thrown away the proverbial box. Her fans have already learned to expect the unexpected and are rewarded with music that is continuously described as infectious. She is influenced by the likes of Michael Jackson, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carrey, Mary J. Blige and Lauren Hill .
