'Slim and G' is a musical duo consisting of artists Mack Slim and Taylor G. This duo composes music in the genres of hip-hop, alt rap, neo-soul, R&B and Trap. Often using the phrases “Real Rap Only” and “No Mumble Rap”, Slim and G aim to be a part of a new shift in the style of hip hop that has developed over the past decade. Slim and G’s travels and steady movement throughout their lives has given them roots and influences from various regions across the country; including Orange County (CA), Brewton (AL), Atlanta (GA), Washington D.C. and the Bay Area. The duo has been recording out of Fresno, CA since July 2019. Another term often used by the duo is "The Den" which refers to the place where their music is created, mixed, and mastered. Officially sharing their sound with the world; Slim and G's debut project, Extended Play Volume 1, released August 10, 2019. Some of their many musical influences include Kool and The Gang, 21 Savage, and Wiz Khalifa.
