DJ/producer Lya Lewis throws down some serious EDM heat – her hands skimming across her digital turntable, twisting knobs, downshifting faders, and layering tracks with some Gallic flair. [Huffington Post]

Hailing from the West of France, and inheriting a passion for music which was sparked by her influential DJ father at a very young age, Lya has traveled the world showcasing her spinning mastery and uniquely-redefined dubstep/EDM genre flavor. As a female producer in the DJ/hip hop industry, Lya is making waves and changing perspectives. She is known for her striking persona, high-energy sets, and funky, blended scores.

Lya Lewis met Jackie Jackson by happenstance and have been creating tracks under Jackie’s label ‘Critically Amused’ ever since, eventually incorporating the Carib-vocal styles of friend Jvgg Spvrrow to form the power duo “Gold Lemonade”.

Within months of signing to Critically Amused, Lya and Jvgg have hit the ground running with their newest single releases “Cake Up”, “Paradize” and “Hippie”, along with a four-part EP titled “Summer Lime”. Gold Lemonade garnered an energetic fan base overnight, giving the group and Critically Amused the momentum they hoped for.

Gold Lemonade is currently hard at work curating new sounds and laying down tracks for release within the next month, along with filming new music videos and the planning of an upcoming tour. DJ/producer Lya Lewis’ passion and dedication shines through in her creative role as one-half of the DJ/hip-hop artist concept band.

“Making people dance and sharing music is a dream. DJ-ing and music production are both a profession of passion, we don’t count our hours, but we’re happy to get up every day. I wouldn’t trade my place for anything else,” says Lya.
