With 3 Hoboken Music Award nominations (2010 Outstanding Male Solo, 2011 Outstanding E.P. 2012 Outstanding Album), 2011 Band Of The Year nomination on Nashville based blog Ears To The Ground and an interview with Independent Music Awards (IMAs) the press has begun to take notice. With mentions in print and web on The Deli Magazine, Eat Sleep Breath Music, The NJ Underground, High Times, The Aquarian, CMJ, Oh My Rockness and many more, LRs buzz is growing.
Lost Romance performed during the Newark, NJ based indie rock festival, Brick City Sound Riot in September 2011 sharing the 3 day bill with Jersey Citys favorite rock sons Rye Coalition. They also helped organize a grassroots event at Bowery Electric (NYC) called Bang This! CMJ in October 2011. Set during the CMJ 2011 Music Marathon, the event featured Boston headliners TAB the Band, 3 record labels (Killing Horse, Bang Bang Boogaloo, Starving Dog), 2 PR/ marketing teams (Ghost Train PR, SpillPeak Media) and festival blog, Tri State Indie. The entirely independent event proved to be a huge success and helped to pave the way for future collaborative efforts. In 2012 & 2013, they were asked to take part in the Light Of Day Benefit in Asbury Park, NJ alongside such luminaries as Garland Jeffreys, John Eddie, Willie Nile and The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen.
Late 2012 saw the release of Live At Great Scott recorded live at one of Bostons premiere venues Great Scott. It was released for free on the bands Bandcamp page.
LR also donated a live version of Top Of The World recorded at Asbury Park, NJs The Saint to Hey Sandy, Were Still Here. This digital only benefit compilation featured indie rockers Real Estate, Nicole Atkins, La Sera, Nude Beach, The Front Bottoms and 50 more. All proceeds were donated to victims of Hurricane Sandy via American Red Cross.
LRs debut E.P. The Light And The Dark is slated for release in 2013 on Los Angeles based indie label, Starving Dog Records. Regional and national touring is expected.
