Bio
Lorin Cohen is a bassist and composer who has performed throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, the Middle East and the Caribbean. He has collaborated with such jazz luminaries such as Monty Alexander, Joe Locke, Lew Tabackin, Victor lewis, Geoffery Keezer, and Guggenheim Fellow, Ryan Cohan.
The Chicago Sun-Times has called Cohen superb, and the The Chicago Tribune refers to Cohen as ultra-versatile, poetic and a musician of relentless invention. Cohen hails from Chicago, and now lives in New york City, where he is the house bassist at Birdland, perfroming weekly at the famed venue as a member of the Birdland jazz Quartet.
