Bio
Lamar Jay, singer & songwriter, was born & raised in Long Beach, CA. He was musically inspired at an early age from old school groups such as Earth Wind & Fire and The Ohio Players, to soul artists such as Musiq Soulchild and Sade, & to Urban artists such as Nate Dogg.
Lamar decided to take his music career seriously after realizing he was going down the wrong road. It was 2008 & Lamar found himself to always get caught up in some trouble. Hanging with the wrong people, Lamar, who is a very God fearing person, felt as if God was trying to get his attention to focus.
Since then Lamar has released 4 mixtapes; Therapy, Everyday Happy, OgRnB, & his latest, Devotion. Along with his team, better known as the CLVN (clan), Lamar's music has been featured on Satellite radio, Mainstream radio, TV, & movies.
With his own sound, Lamar will continue to work hard to bring his music to the world.
