"Durham, NC RnB Artist Lae Shares Her Self-Produced New Single "Mirrors""

Lae is a Durham, NC based singer-songwriter who flows in a new sound of RnB. Her artistry reflects her cross-cultural roots, sultry vocals, and funky sound. Her career in music starting as a classical vocalist. Growing up with Jamaican heritage in Central Asia, her cultural backdrop is unique. Her work explores the spaces between reality and fantasy, crossing cultural spheres, seeking to explain the things – seen and unseen – that connect us all. She is a singer, the author of Midnight Harvest, the creator of “The Girl Who Sees” visual poetry series, as well as an actor.

Lae has recently unveiled a self produced song entitled “Mirrors”, which the title track of a two song release that just came out last month. The laid back vibe of this song is the perfect compliment for us who are still stuck indoors due to winter’s chill, as well as those who are driving around in 75 degree weather with their windows down. Lae’s unique and sultry voice brings “Mirrors” to life, and the instrumental is subtle, yet complex, creating a soundscape that only she can transverse. - Dope Cause We Said
