Bio
The Honeytones are a new 3-piece Americana/retro R&B band that has grown out of lead singer, Laconia Koerner's, acoustic song-writing. Laconia had been performing solo for several years at such venues as Jim Walsh's Mad Ripple Hootenanny in Minneapolis when she invited Danny Shaheen (Fletcher Magellan and A Constant Cough) on lead guitar to help flesh out and develop her songs. As a duo they arrived at a unique two Telecaster sound and recently added Rory Alt on upright bass. A self-described "tinkerer", Rory's exploratory nature has lent orchestral elements and RnB syncopation alike to the band's evolving sound.
