The guitar work on A Mother’s Love is beautiful, a really gentle but stylish expression of emotion through the skillful playing. The melody and the softness of the voices really helps highlight the warmth and the whole concept of a mother’s love. The track has a really mellow and easy to listen to vibe to it, the softness of what sounds like a horn section, again adds to the effect. Everything works well together to keep this atmosphere consistent and soothing. The melody is pleasant, though it doesn’t massively stay present in your mind after listening. The instrumental riffs, however, do last much longer than the length of the song, and that is in itself quite a powerful element it’s unusual to have the hook as an instrumental part, but unusual is good, and it’s also the ‘oh’ section of the song that could be thought of as the hook. This vocal part fits really well with the instrumental riffs, it’s a really beautiful and relaxing addition to the song that reappears just enough times to essentially play the role of a chorus. - Exposed Vocals
