Bio
Atlanta's Best Kept Secret
Born Kelvaris Atkins in East Point, GA, KV is not your usual Atlanta rapper. A natural trendsetter, he interupts the stylistic stagnation and imitation indicative to the region by layering his flow with literary elements, real-life struggle, and triumph. "When I was younger, growing up on Headland & Delowe, I always wanted to rap. To me, it looked fun, so, I would record on a PC and try to incorporate what I learned in my high school literature class into my rhymes". By the age of 19, KV's talent and gift to verbalize his innermost thoughts landed him in the up and coming rap-group, "Dem Savages". Members included London on Da Track and Young Derrick. After a potential signing with Johnnie Cabbell, (CEO of HAH Enterprises) the group's rising ascent came to a screeching halt due to members conflicting goals. As a result, KV partnered with the group's former producer, London on Da Track, and began working on solo projects, further refining his style and eloquence. In 2013, he released his freshman mixtape hosted by DJ Plugg entitled "The Arrival" to illustrate his debut as a solo lyricist. The mixtape earned 1200+ views within its first week. With notable songs like "Troublemaker", "Made Me", "Don't Judge Me" and "I See It", it became evident that KV was hip-hop Atlanta's Best Kept Secret. A year later, KV seeks to reveal his growth as an artist to the world, showing that he has not only arrived, but that he is also hungry for success. "Starving made me humble, but my work ethic and innate ability made me hungry". In his sophmore mixtape, entitled "Humble & Hungry", KV solidifies his rightful place in hip-hip as he masterfully demonstrates that hard work, dedication, determination, and self-investment are tantamount to the realization of success.Band Members
