Since coming onto the scene, New York native Kurt Rockmore has been a fixture on a number of nationwide tours. In his new project, Light Up The Night, Rockmore embraces the come-up to share his experiences and reactions to being on tour while striving to eventually headline one of his own.
Light Up The Night takes the format of an energy filled, party playlist but goes beyond a linear description through great flows, lyricism and production. Rockmore shows his versatility by creating party tracks about his life on tour and then flipping the switch by taking an equally high energy track and transforming it into an emotional, lyrically driven piece.
Kurt Rockmore's dedication to growing as an artist and realization of his own reality is what creates such a great amount of potential from the young emcee. Check out his newest visuals for "Everyday" off the album and support the project by downloading it below! - CollegeOfMusic.com
Seeing KURT grow over the last 2 years since I posted his debut project Red Carpet Ignorance has been humbling. It’s a rare thing that only music-enthusiasts such as y’all get to witness; the growth he’s experienced from touring and taking criticism is clearly portrayed in his sound. Light Up The Night is a declaration about his new perspective. He’s done being weighed down by fears and imperfections, he’s grown into the shoes of a truly dedicated artist, someone who can balance the party lifestyle with the studio grind. I felt this song reflects his growth and his move into the limelight more so than anything else on the project. This song is Light Up The Night’s anthem, the song that people will be chanting along to with a bottle in their hand at two in the morning, which I think is the biggest difference between KURT now and KURT two years ago. He’s learned how to drop coherent projects that still showcase his diversity, and has perfected tracks like this that appeal to the average partying college student. Enjoy, show him some love on twitter, and cop his latest project if you like what you hear. - Universityhype.com
Kurt Rockmore opened for Mike Stud on September 27, 2013 at Irving Plaza in New York City. It was my first time seeing him perform and I absolutely loved his performance. He knew how to keep his audience entertained. His show was upbeat and fun, and everyone sang along to the songs. His song No Shame was a huge hit. Kurt was really interactive with the audience and gave a shout out to a couple of girls who have been to his other shows. And it was a girl's 21st birthday, and Kurt had her come on stage and dance. That is obviously a birthday she will never forget!
After the show he came out and was talking to the fans, taking pictures and giving out autographs. He was really cool to talk to. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for him and where life takes him. He loves what he does and has a great attitude about what he does. Kurt keeps it real and is enjoying the ride. I cannot wait to see him perform with Huey Mack at Highline Ballroom!

Bio
No Gimmicks, just music.
Kurt Rockmore was born and raised in the not so sub, suburbs of long island NY. Kurt has toured the country with multiple major acts, such as G-Eazy, Platinum Canadian band Down With Webster, Mike Stud, and many many more artists. With a sound that is similar to B.O.B, with delivery and lyricism comparable to J. Cole, Kurt performs hip hop with a live band, and is often known as the Life of the party by fans.
Kurt's music is a culmination of multiple inspirations, and his own experiences. Kurt makes music he likes, with no attempts in blending in with whats popular right now. His only goal is to make relate-able music with play back ability, based on his real life, and to put on the best show in every city he goes to....
