The club, which opened in March, is a brainchild of husband/wife entrepreneurs Russell and Jo Wild, features an eclectic, Americana-inspired menu and décor.

“(Escape Alley Sundry) is a little bit of everything,” says Russell Wild. “It's a restaurant, bar, vintage shop, music venue and meeting space. We strive to attract a diverse group of people. Our food consists of simple homemade meals that satisfy the taste buds and the wallet. We have moon pies, classic candies, root-beer floats and many Americana items that bring a sense of nostalgia and comfort to the patrons.”

But the main attraction of late has been the music. Local promoter Cheryl Payne, who most recently worked at Memphis Mary's, was brought in to book music on Friday nights under the name “Poptones,” while co-owner Jo Wild handles the booking other nights.

“We want to focus the music on the abundance of local talent,” says Russell Wild. “Escape Alley Sundry is a place where local musicians can come to hear their comrades play, and tourists get off Beale Street and hear real Memphis music.”

Es gibt zwei Musikvideos von Claudia Robot: Alles ist leer und Ich bin ein Roboter, die von Helmut Frodl inszeniert wurden (1983). Im Jahre 1984 wurde noch eine Single Robinson Crusoe (System Records, mit Produzent Peter Janda) veröffentlicht. Claudia sang Kinderlieder auf Video und schrieb das Lied Elefant, welches der bekannte Sänger Wilfried aufgenommen hat.

Sie arbeitete noch an weiteren Projekten im Zusammenhang mit dem österreichischem Filmmuseum und schrieb Artikel für das beliebte Tagesblatt Die Kronen-Zeitung und für die deutsche Ausgabe der Vogue. In Amerika machte Claudia als Korrespondentin mit Hannes Rossacher und Rudolf Doleschal eine Sonderreportage als Film über Elvis Presley und veröffentlichte eine CD mit Ihrem Gitarrenpartner Rico Heard unter dem Titel At the same place twice in life (Klaudia and Rico, Inside Sounds, Memphis Label, 1996) und synchronisierte für den Underground-Film Superstarlett A.D. die Stimme der Hauptdarstellerin Rita D`Albert (1999). - Neue Deutsche Welle
