Kevin Jackson is a singer-songwriter with influences ranging from Merle
Haggard to Metallica.
Kevin comes from a long line of musicians, from his great, great
grandparents hosting Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys at their home in
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on a regular basis, to His father who, as a
bassist/songwriter, was part of the late 1980s and early 1990s
Hair-Band/Arena Rock era. So, it only makes sense that Kevin's musical
style is part traditional country and part 1980s - 1990s arena rock.
Being from the great state of Texas, Kevin also adds the "dirt road"
element to everything he does.
Kevin has played shows with some great artist including Radney Foster,
Colt Ford, Stoney Larue, Curtis Grimes, Koe Wetzel, Deryl Dodd,
Hillbilly Vegas, Wade Bowen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Cody Canada, William
Clark Green and several others. In late October the song "I'm Gone" made
it into the New Music rotation on SiriusXM The Highway!
Kevin is extremely independent. However, He has surrounded himself with
people that have over 30 years of full event production from FOH sound,
video, lighting, graphic arts, and television production.
Kevin is thankful to have friends like Curtis Grimes, Tom Perkins, David
Adam Byrnes, and his father (Travis Jackson) who all have contributed
their writing skills to help Kevin put together great songs that cross
all kinds of musical boundaries and join together the best elements of
Texas red-dirt lyrics, Nashville production, and arena rock guitars.
