Washington, DC April 19, 2014- DMV native, 24 year old rapper Kevin B released his sophomore mix tape "Late Arrival" (download on datpiff.com) February 2014 that has started a buzz of over 1000 views within 30 minutes, since then it has doubled. Kevin B has over 1000 loyal and growing fans between social media and artist sites; and now he performs at The One City Green Festival. The One City Green Festival was held at the Kennedy Recreation Center, located in Washington, DC 1401 7th St, NW. Earth’s Natural Force Connections and the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), as a sponsor and/or vendor for one of Washington, DC’s major Earth Day festivals. This festival is in partnership with the District Department of the Environment(DDOE), The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Howard University Office of Sustainability, WHUR 96.3FM, McDonalds, Washington Parks and other high profile environmental stakeholders. The DMV area residents are came out to experience live performances featuring Ronald McDonald, Marlee in the Mixx, Kevin B and guest appearance by D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray. There was plenty to do, the health and sustainable vendors, group fitness instructions, exercise stations, horseshoe tournament, basketball, a skate mobile, games, education, recycle relay, environment art displays, demonstrations, and giveaways. The festival is designed to celebrate and highlight our city’s many on-going environmental programs, lifestyles, and activities that have made the District of Columbia the environmental leader in the “Green” city movement. Over 2,000 people were able to experience the festivities with sounds surrounding the community and Kevin B has truly reached that audience, through recorded video and captured photos. DMV native, 23 year old rapper Kevin B. is primed for success. Being a rapper wasn’t even his first goal. Growing up in Capitol Heights, MD, Kevin B. recalls R&B being his first love. Marvin Gaye is still one of his favorite artists. After realizing he wasn’t as blessed vocally as Marvin, he fell in love wit songwriting. Growing up listening to Mc’s such as The Notorious B.I.G., Andre 3000, and T.I. Kevin B. would later transform writing songs into writing lyrics It wasn’t until a few years ago however, that Kevin B. discovered that he had what it took to step in to this rap game and things haven’t been the same ever since.
INSPIRATIONS
What inspires me is my fear of failure. I believe that I have a greater purpose in me and the thought of me not reaching my full potential is more frightening to me than anything else that I can imagine. Other inspirations are those people who are in my daily life that motivate me everyday to continue to pursue my passion such as my mother, uncle, and my manager. Seeing them happy and knowing that I have succeeded is what inspires me.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT RAW
I really don't have "one" favorite thing about RAW because I have so many likes about this particular organization. For one I love the environment. I love it's a display of the raw, underground, and untapped talent that my city has to offer. I also love how you can converse and network with so many people. I love how RAW gives those who are creators of their passion a platform to display their talents.
MAKES MY WORLD GO ROUND
What makes my world go' round is God and music. I cannot face this world and the hardships that come along with it by myself so I need a higher being to rely on and stand firm on. Also, I need music. It is my escape, my release. Even when I am not making music or listening to my own music, I am still listening to somebody's music 24/7. -

Rising indie USA Hip-Hop artist and songwriter Kevin B., is primed for success. Hailing from Capitol Heights, MD, Kevin actually recalls R&B being his first love, which is why describes his music as "music for the soul with head bobbing beats" because it is all about life and everyday experiences which explains why they are all so relate-able. Although his music can be very soulful, bloggers and DJs have deemed Kevin B. as one of those special talents who can create numerous commercial hits while still maintaining true substance. He credits MC’s such as The Notorious B.I.G., Andre 3000, and T.I. as his rap influences but Kevin always still finds himself from time to time penning songs for R&B artist for that is his quiet passion.
In 2012, Kevin B. released his freshman project entitled "A Dolla & A Dream". Then in 2014, after two years of finally feeling that he found his sound, he released his sophomore project entitled "Late Arrival" which still received high praises and instant social media buzz receiving over 2,000 listens and downloads within the first day, which has allowed him to tour and perform all along the East Coast from New York to Miami. Singles such as "Get It Girl" and "Big Spender" from the project have made it onto not only the local airwaves in the DC Metropolitan area but also throughout the country and on landed themselves on internet radio empire Pandora are also still continuing to gain even more buzz for the up and comer. February 2015, released his hit single "Unconditional" which earned him radio play immediately as well from cities as far as Orlando and Los Angeles.
Now in August of 2015, Kevin B. has just re-released "Late Arrival Reloaded" which has been covered by some of the biggest music blog sites and still continuing to garner some major attention along with opening up for Key!, Bone Crusher and ASAP Ant which has drastically increased his fan base. He credits being able to perform at 2015 A3C festival as his greatest moment in his career yet. "Mr. 925er" as Kevin calls himself, continues to perform and increase his fan base and his "925ers" movement which he says represents the everyday person who has to struggle with everyday life situation while trying to obtain the American Dream. He not only wants to reach millions of fans across the U.S. but hopes his music has the legs to reach fans all around the world and can give hope and inspiration to every generation to go after their passion.
