Childhood friends Kevin, and Owen were brought together one day from an invitation to jam with the infamous Josie. Good times and good tunes were to be had but duty called Kevin and Owen up to Florida State University and in an attempt to make a long distance band relationship work the first Tallahassee gig was scheduled for Alpha Tau Omega's College Gameday Tailgate. It was two days before the gig and the former bass player couldn't make it. In desperation, Owen headed over to the college of music to go fishing for a bass player worthy of the position. As a result of what some would deem divine intervention, the one and only Tristian Jones was hooked and unsuspectingly reeled into practice... But upon recieving a job offer to build rockets for The United Launch Alliance, Tristian disbanded and moved to Colorado shortly after Keep It Civil's Summer Bar Crawl Tour. In need of a new home in Tallahassee, Chris Maurer, former drum major for the high school that graduated all members of the band stumbled upon Keep It Civil in need of a bass player.
