Connecticut-based singer-songwriter, Karen Zimmer, grew up listening to her parent’s records. Those familiar sounds of Simon & Garfunkel, The Mammas & The Pappas, The Beach Boys, and The Beatles, will forever be engrained in her heart and soul. Her music brims with direct and relatable lyrics, telling stories of heartbreak, longing, sadness and love. Producer Ryan Hommel at the Factory Underground Studio, in Norwalk, CT, helped bring Karen’s music to life. Mixing together Ryan’s signature guitar sounds, Bobby Hawk’s mesmerizing fiddle, and Karen’s heartfelt lyrics and melodies, her music is a little bit classic country, a little bit pop, and a smidge of blues. The result places her somewhere in the middle of Emmylou Harris, Kacey Musgraves, and Norah Jones.
