Karens

Born out of love for pure raw rock and the essence of musical passion, Karens is an alternative bilingual (English, Spanish) rock band formed by three friends. Carlos Moreira (drums, percussion, and vocals), Kevin Romero (Lead guitarist and vocals), and Oscar Garro (bass player, and Lead vocals). The band was later joined by Steven Romero (cellist). Coming down from different parts of the world (Peru, Costa RIca) and meeting in the Bay Area of California, USA. It seemed destiny brought them together to create what they loved the most, music. Having their influences from several different styles of music, from blues, to classic rock, to progressive rock, to metal, to hard rock, grunge, and several others, Karens creates an entirely new sound full of rich bluesy melodies, garage rock rawness, delightful progression, and some psychedelic riffs. Having Oscars powerful voice and groove based bass lines, Kevin's blues-rock and raw powerful guitar rifts along with emotion power solos, Carlos's hard rock and harmonic drums with a touch of loudness and power, and Steven’s melodic and psychedelic cello playing, makes Karens a band to not be missed.
