Kabutey’s pronounced “Ka-bu-tay.” The name originates from Ghana, West Africa and translates to English as ‘first born son.’ Genres Kabutey produces and spins live include Deep House, Electro House, Progressive House, Trance, Hardstyle, Dubstep Hiphop, and R&B.
Since the age of eight, music’s a passion. Production skills came in his high school years and evolved with a commitment to dance music. Establishing himself as an electronic dance music (EDM) DJ in 2012, he’s gotten good reviews from Lucky Date, Edx, and Steve Aoki via social media.
His innovative sound continues to reach fans’ hearts. Kabutey debuted dance singles ‘Club Night’ and ‘Atelier’ in 2015. Both songs are available on all platforms and Beatport. Kabutey was featured in Core Magazine and Beatsy Blog. In 2015 on Mixcloud, his mixes ‘World of Electro House #12’ ranked 55th in the Electro Chart and 60th in the electro house chart.
‘World of Hardstyle #2’ ranked 25th in the Hardstyle chart and 88th in the Electro chart, ‘World of Hardstyle #1’ ranked 14th in the Hardstyle chart, ‘World of Trance #8’ ranked 41st in the Psytrance chart and 59th in the Tech Trance chart, and ‘World of Trance #4’ ranked 67th in the Tech Trance chart.
Along with monthly multi genre dance music song and mix releases, Kabutey also airs a show Wednesdays at 8pm (est) on Invisible Sound Radio. In 2016 on Mixcloud, his mixes ‘World of Electro House #18’ ranked 56th and ‘World of Electro House #20’ ranked 99th in the Dubstep chart. Kabutey was featured in Skilly Magazine, BWD Magazine, and Secrets of The Sun.
Kabutey delivers a self-titled song with house elements ready for the dance floor. The production started in one studio on an afternoon when Kabutey was asked to produce something in efforts to validate his skills to the musicians present. The result was a skeleton of this song which was played out loud and the studio erupted in dancing. Everyone in the studio started dancing to the first draft. The engineer was impressed and insisted Kabutey release this song. It was uploaded to the cloud. Kabutey completed it at his private studio. The rest is history. Check it out below… - Loud Sound GH

Established as an electronic dance music DJ in 2012, his innovative sound continues to reach fans' hearts. In 2014, Beats Radio Calgary gave airplay to his single 'Aurora.' Kabutey debuted dance singles 'Club Night' and 'Atelier' in 2015. He was featured in Core Magazine and Beatsy Blog. In 2015, 2016, and 2017 on Mixcloud, his mixes consecutively made the Top 100 charts in their genres. His Guest Mix aired on Robit Radio. Kabutey was featured in Skilly Magazine, BWD Magazine, and Secrets of The Sun. In 2017, Kabutey was listed as one of The Deli Magazine's EDM Hot In Region. 'Say Yes (Extended Mix),' the recent House single he released, was featured on The SongLadder Rising 50 - songs on the move. Kabutey is also featured in Smash Up Magazine and BRASH! magazine. The Candy Network added his Hip-Hop single 'Party In Macau' to their 'Unwrapped Candy' playlist on Spotify. In addition to releasing songs and mixes, Kabutey performs live. Some previous shows include rapping original music at MTV Tr3s's Batanga Beach Festival. Performing DJ sets twice at Gathering In The Grove, Tilt, Taylors, and One nightclubs to name a few.
