Bio
Anthony “Just AMP” Snell was born on October 25, 1988 in Brooklyn, NY. Before embarking on a career as a music artist, Amp grew up listening to artists such as Jay-Z, Fabolous and Lil Wayne. At age 15 he started rapping and was introduced to recording in 2005 while being featured on the debut release from the rap collective The 5th Side. Amp says he believes he was born with his love for music and the lyrical gymnastics on display in the studio and on stage is just how he chooses to express himself rhythmically. Just Amp was featured on a 2010 release with his rhyme partner B.I. called From A to B. After championing a local MAKE Entertainment rap competition in 2012, AMP joined MAKE as a management client to further elevate his career to new heights. Now, after achieving success with several regional show performances and two critically-acclaimed CD releases, the vision to become a hip-hop heavyweight is beginning to quickly come into focus.
