Bio
John Riolo, better known by his stage name ‘Junior’, is a young artist hailing from Portland, Maine, known for his unique style of bass-heavy hip hop beats, and experimental electronic tracks. Originally from the small town of North Yarmouth, Maine, he began making music in the 6th grade, drawing inspiration from electronic dance music (EDM) artists like deadmau5, and Skrillex, and after years of producing EDM casually, John began pushing his production boundaries. After breaking the wall of 10,000 yearly streams across all platforms on his electronic music catalog, he started moving into hip hop production. In the late months of 2017, under the pseudonym 'f12onthebeat', he began producing beats for some of the most viewed young artists out of Portland, Maine and the surrounding area, producing primarily for the artist AB the King, among other young talents. Throughout the following years, Junior would begin to create cover art for albums and singles, produce and edit music videos, and dip his toe into any creative facet he could get involved with. With numerous records under his belt, and thousands of streams in 2018 alone, Junior breached into new boundaries with his debut single in 2019 “Thrills.”, adding a new twist by recording his own vocals in collaboration with New Jersey based artist CartierArty. He began to DJ shows at venues in the Portland area, along with smaller tours in the New Hampshire area alongside artists like Bryan Bailey, HeyPierre, and other underground acts. Junior consistently provides live sets that are packed with numerous genres, and floor-shaking bass. Late 2020 is expected to be the next time we can see a solo venture from Junior, with collaborative mixtapes also slated to drop late 2020 - early 2021, featuring artists like Cardiac, Drey Armani, with more shows booked for months to come.
