Review Jose Luis Peraza JLP Project.
What can I say, but I just love every track I have heard from Jose Luis Peraza’s latest JLP offering. Each track has its own signature and from the gorgeous “Stop Motion Life” which made the Best of 2021 on Swell Radio RFUA to “From the Gallows” there is something unique in every track. “Stop Motion Life” is this mesmerizing piece of magic that shimmers. And from the opening notes of ”From the Gallows”, you swept up into this driving, uplifting rock track with soaring vocals from Baol Bulsara and soaring guitar from Jose Luis Peraza. There is so much going on in the track and yet it’s uncluttered and is spatially perfect. Each track truly has something special going on. You can tell that these are gifted musicians musically converging in sync on each track. I can’t wait to hear more…seriously. JLP brings something fresh with multiple influences layering in on each song. Love it. I live to find great bands and artists like this.

Bio
Coming out from the ashes of his prior bands Fire Train & Soulless Mary, frustrated but focused Jose begins writing lyrics, music & recording demos for himself & not to fit into any genre or musical mold but instead digs deep into his bag of influences (both musical & personal). He decides to write, produce, play all guitars, bass guitars & keyboards for these recordings but does decide to recruit some musical friends as well. He recruits American drummer (Fire Train, Survival), sound, recording & mix engineer Mike Tappero, Spanish vocalist Baol Bardot Bulsara (TNT, Strangers & solo) & for mastering the recordings, the one the only Tonio Ruiz (guitarist of Coda, QBO) from México. So what you hear in these recordings is the collaboration of 3 countries & 3 musical entities coming together like the holy trinity of hard rock & bringing you a no holds barred approach to the genre, so hang on tight because it could get bumpy, dirty & sweet all at the same time.
