"Clickbait"

A singer-songwriter with a devastating ear for harmonies and a delicate touch with lyrics that slide perfectly into a horrid winter. There's a definite Celtic touch, but far sweeter than something like Mumford & Sons. - Metro News (Andrew Fifield)

"BANDCAMP HUNTING #4 - 5 THINGS YOU SHOULD HEAR"

After listening to the latest release of Jonathan Atkins, a multi-instrumentalist from Mississauga, who produces bittersweet Folk music, I was amazed to discover he's unsigned (yet...). I hope that someone in the industry will hear him soon, because he might become a fine artist. - 5 Songs Per Artist

How can one person create a huge musical experience? Jonathan Atkins, of Mississauga, Ontario, has spent years experimenting and searching for that distinct sound. From peaceful melodies to songs that will just make you want to dance, this unique talent will always impress a crowd.

With heavy influences such as Andy McKee and Dallas Green, Jonathan aims for instrumental riff's that can pull almost any listener in.

After several experiments and dabbling in post-hardcore, rock, and alternative music, Jonathan finally tried his hand at a more folk approach. Summer of 2010 held a lot of lonely writing sessions by the beach and almost a hundred songs written.

In 2011 Jonathan took the best of his creations and presented them to a couple of small shows and coffee houses where his unusual and refreshing music was welcomed and loved. This sparked the self produced, self recorded, and self edited EP, "The Journey".

By 2012 Jonathan challenged himself to write more celtic folk tunes and has been doing exactly that since. After releasing a free, one take EP (Voices & Vices Volume I) and gaining massive social media support, reaching over 50 downloads in just two weeks, Jonathan's musical approach and writing abilities had reached a very refined peak. Jonathans incredible guitar style along with his soft, haunting, and sometimes powerful vocals mixed with his unique way of live looping creates a new folk concert experience. Jonathan Atkins is definitely something to look out for in the coming years.
