Jo Jo Gun & the Bullets are veterans of the Hamilton music scene. For a decade now they’ve been crowding dance floors like nobody’s business. While primarily a covers band at first, they have more recently made the seamless transition to writing and recording original music in addition to performing their extensive repertoire of classic rock and oldies covers. Their plan is to release a new EP every season.
Recorded at Stoney Creek’s Studio 410 and mixed and mastered by Andrew McDermid in Vancouver, Summer 17 was released in August. From the powerful ballad of ‘Stay’ to the undeniably catchy ‘Cool in Toronto’, the 4 song debut proves that Jo Jo Gun is far more than just one of the best cover bands around, revealing an exciting new dynamic for the band. Fall 17 just dropped and picks up where Summer left off: 5 new rocking songs with a lot of heart and a lot of soul.
