Joe Wannabe and the Mad Man’s Blues Band are currently at work on their first full-length record “No Way in Hell.” The band was recently featured for a week on 96.5 Rock’s local artist spotlight where they played the record’s title track five times. Influenced from the Mississippi delta players to the electric blues of Chicago, Joe Wannabe’s songwriting uniquely blends soulful music with honest lyrics ranging from his experiences as a Firefighter/EMT to the daily grind of bills, heartbreak, and the need to keep your head up through it all. In previous acts, Joe has played shows such as The Cincinnati Summer Blues Festival at Sawyer Point, Fountain Square, and Alfred’s on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee for the International Blues Challenge.
