Bio
Quite often the best things in life come when we decide to move out of our comfort zone. This is a lesson Jeremiah Daly had to learn when he decided to leave his incredibly successful band, The Perfect Measure, to
pursue a solo career. The acoustic pop band had a couple million views on YouTube and was doing well with album sales and tours, but Daly just did not see a future with TPM. So, he decided to pursue a career making music on his own with more folksy, Americana roots.
This paradigm shift allowed him to be more authentic in his music, and it is clear with every note that he is more passionate about the lyrics he is singing than he ever was before. Daly released his first solo EP, “Live at True Tone Studios,” on Christmas Day of 2014 – an EP that has been connecting with people from day one.
The Perfect Measure had become a band where he could only discuss love and relationships, so Daly took the opportunity to write about some of his own struggles in his solo material. Lyrically, ‘Live at True Tone’ covers a variety of topics, which came as a result of finally being able to discuss things he had wanted to talk about for years.
In September of 2014, Daly set out on an East Coast tour to promote his new songs, and was received well by both listeners and fellow musicians alike. Daly played in houses and coffee shops all across the coast in his first tour since he left The Perfect Measure. Since then he has embarked on three more US tours, including performing at SXSW.
Daly is currently preparing to release his debut full-length, ‘The Darkness Will Be Over Soon’ which will display his more of his folk sound and shows him maturing as a lyricist, which he began with ‘Live at True Tone Studios.’ The new record will hit online stores on November 13th, 2015.
