Rayne is celebrating her latest release, Essential Elements, a 10-track all original release. The album is a grand followup to her 1999 debut Hall of Memories.
Rayne, who studied jazz guitar and voice at Malaspina University College in Nanaimo, B.C. has been heralded for her eclectic and original musical style.

Jenica Rayne is a passionate songwriter, accomplished guitarist and seasoned performer. She is a storyteller who describes soul-searching, fun-loving and heartbreaking experiences that she witnesses and experiences. Audiences become engaged, reflective and revitalized with her shows. Jenica has released three critically acclaimed solo CD's: Hall of Memories (1999), Essential Elements (2005), Live Rayne (2007), a new CD with Calamity Janes Band (2013), and most recently, Love is Love, (2013). Her upcoming solo CD will be produced in collaboration with Simon Kendall and be released in Spring 2014. Jenica Rayne is a graduate of Vancouver Island Universitys jazz music program and has toured across Canada as a solo artist and with her bands Calamity Janes, and Jenica and The RayneMakers. Jenicas live performance runs the emotional gamut, from the rueful, upbeat cabaret of Call It What You Like, haunting sparseness of Blues Skies Dreaming, and emotional rawness of Sarah and Will You Help a Stranger. Recently she appeared on CTV Morning in Vancouver, and with Kevin Head and Juno-ward winner Lynn Miles. Jenica Rayne teaches music and guitar at the Kingston School of Music and is now ranked #1 in Folk by Reverbnation in Kingston, and #60 nationally and donates 50% of proceeds from tracks found on Reverbnation to worthwhile charities including the Fender Music Foundation for children.
