Bio 

Jemar is an accomplished drummer, bassist, and educator who has over 20 years of experience in the music industry! 

Jemar has worked as a full-time musician in the state of Oklahoma as well as the region. Jemar works as a contractor for many different artists. Whether it’s jazz, r&b, soul, latin, or gospel...his versatility has allowed him to work with artists across many genres. Jemar was also on staff as the Central Music Director at Peoples Church in Oklahoma City, for 6 years...(a church of 8,000 members) where he led worship pastors and teams of musicians across 5 campuses from week to week. Jemar recently relocated to Los Angeles where he has been working as a contract musician weekly while also serving as the drummer at One and All Church(a church of 6,000) in San Dimas, CA. Playing with jazz artist like, Jacques Lesure, Sal Crocker, Kirk Andres Wilson, Jdee Bolden, Masami Kuroki…to name a few. Jemar is also cast as one of the featured drummers in Disney’s “Tale of the Lion King”, running through summer 2019!! In the span of just a year Jemar has recorded drums at the legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood for the TV show "The Legends of Tomorrow"...he has also played in the drum-line with Kanye West's "Sunday Service". Jemar is making waves in the LA jazz scene with his strong sense of swing and musicality. His ability to tell a compelling story from behind the drum set has allowed him to stand in out in the LA gigging scene, allowing him to sub for drummers like Marvin Smitty Smith at the Parker Room in Hollywood. 

Jemar’s debut project titled “Grace for Purpose” is also available across all streaming services.
