Bio
R&B singer, songwriter and producer, J-Delice, is on a mission to put Connecticut on the Map! His first radio single "What's Mine Is Yours” off his last mixtape, “DownTime” created a significant buzz in the Northeast region where music fanatics started to witness the breakout of the New R&B star. The first single features the late Coke Boyz rapper, Chinx, and has been on rotation across the airwaves of Power 105.1, HOT 93.7, JAMN 94.5 and many more. Music reps discovered Delice as a notable musician for his sensual ballads, self-produced melodies and his wide vocal range of tender, smooth, and polished artistry.
Born of Haitian descent in Brooklyn, New York, Jonathan Delice moved to Connecticut (“The CUT”) at an early age and spent the remainder of his childhood and teen years in Stamford, “The City that Works”. His music is not only influenced by a rich cultural background, but a deep connection to his upbringing in “The 203”. J-Delice credits musical legends Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Usher, Marvin Gaye, Sting and Marques Houston as his music inspirations, stating "studying the greats is like prepping your meals. It's about finding the best zests to put into your recipe for a great taste”.
The Haitian-American singer was first introduced to the music scene in 2010, working along with friends who had similar interests in creating music. It was then when Delice found his talent for writing and producing grungy-styled beats which were appealing to his audience at the time. In 2012, he released his first mixtape, "On My Own" and since then, the singer has raised the bar musically within his home state and started to work locally and nationally with respectably-known artists to further develop his musical talents and expand his reach. J-Delice grew attention from various media platforms such as This Is R&B, XXL Hip Hop, King Magazine, and more leading him to a broader audience throughout the east coast.
Due to his rise to stardom, The CT crooner received acknowledgements by many well-known industry moguls and landed work with producers Remo The Hitmaker, Tracketeering Music, We The Best Music's Lee OnTheBeat, and many others. The “CUT BOY” himself even fell on joint collaborations with French Montana, The L.O.X., Dave East, Jim Jones, ScarFace, and more. Delice has toured and shared stages for numerous artists, including Jadakiss, Mario, Future, Juicy J, Ashanti and Mack Wilds. He continually looks for ways to connect with his audiences and improve his craft, explaining, “I take every opening performance as a learning experience and a way to test my material on fans of great music”.
The R&B phenom has continued to raise the profile for his home state. His latest single “RAW” from his upcoming EP, “CUT BOY”, serenades the ears of the ladies and substantiates that this artist is on an upward mobility track. As he continues to remain unfazed by those who “sleep on him”, his drive and ambition leads the burgeoning musical movement coming out of “The CUT”. J-Delice continues to capture the interest from a wide-range of audiences through his rich vocals and keen ear for stellar and melodic rhythms. With continued support from family, friends, fans, and partners in the music industry, J-Delice is a rising artist from the Constitution State that is on his way to making history.
