This week for 412nes I sat down with Jaye Hill for his debut EP "SWEAT"s Release at The Funhouse at Mr. Smalls. Jaye Hill is a 21 year old rapper/singer/songwriter/producer from the 724! Jaye is a lyricist at heart, he combines melody and elements of pop and R&B music into his rhymes to create his own sound. Some of his inspiratikno comes from artists such as Eminem, Will Smith, Drake, Kanye West and many more. Jaye's single "My Hometown" is on "Sweat" is about Pittsburgh, his family and friends. This is a song hes been working on for years and revamped it to be on his EP as it's a meaningful and catchy jam. This song can hit home for anyone who has hometown pride especally here in the 412/724! "Sweat" features 5 other songs and you can find it on all digital music platforms.

Jaye Hill is a Pittsburgh-based rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. Early on, he pulled inspiration from artists ranging from Eminem to Will Smith, but he also credits contemporaries such as Drake and Kanye West as having a great influence on his sound.
At age 9, Jaye performed a cover of a rap song on stage for the first time. By age 12, he was writing and producing his own music in his bedroom. Since then, he’s performed as an opening act for Ty$, Chevy Woods, Chris Webby, and YONAS, has had Pittsburgh fight songs featured on local radio stations, and was selected as one of 10 acts in the Pittsburgh area to perform at the International Talent Showcase (ITS) in Miami in 2008.
Most recently, Jaye has released a remix video to Lil Uzi Vert's, "XO Tour Life," as well as his debut EP, entitled "SWEAT," all for which he has gained attention from major sports media sources and will be featured in several sports placements.
