James Duffer

James Duffer is a pop/rock singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas who released his debut album "Midtown Odyssey" in May 2014. His music is a style of both piano and guitar based pop/rock with sometimes a hint of punk edge. James most often performs his accompanying band but also performs as a solo act. 

James was born and raised in Dallas, TX and started taking piano lessons at age 7. After developing a serious interest in music he went on to pick up the guitar from his father at age 10 as well as learn the drums at age 12 by playing in his Jr. High School band. Throughout his teenage years James obsessively studied the work of many of the great rock & roll bands and songwriters from which he drew inspiration to develop his own musical skills. During High School James further developed his songwriting, playing and performing skills while playing in a few bands while also beginning to start and shape his journey as a solo-act. After graduating High School, James went on to study Commercial Music at Collin College in Plano, TX where he further studied music theory, music business, recording and production. During this time James regularly performed concerts on campus with his band while eventually branching out to perform all over the local DFW area. At age 22 James released his first album "Midtown Odyssey" as an independent self-release. 

James is currently promoting "Midtown Odyssey" while finishing the material for his 2nd album.
