There's a great deal of energy in this record! From the instrumental tones being used to the way that James Koan III engages his vocals throughout, there's a consistent sense of lift and drive in "The Radiance" - as one would expect from the lyrical exploration of holy radiance as a concept. Massive but not muddy overdriven guitars mingle with pulsing drums and bass to take listeners into the heart of Punk Pop freedom in tandem with the song's fully illuminating lyrical theme. Excellent melodic motion and a gripping chorus take full flight thanks to airtight playing from the supporting instruments, with the attention to dynamic contrast on display leaving a lasting impression on listeners from any background! Perfectly unhinged solo guitar takes center stage at 2:35, providing a killer climax before the dropout and re-entry of the full-blast chorus at 3:10 with the line "a light in every season" finding just the right delivery for the moment. Excellent playing and song design from all involved, and a genuinely engaging experience from start to finish!

Working with musicians and their individual sounds is his passion and profession, and he strives to interact with and understand every aspect of the production process - from theory and songwriting to recording and mastering. James Koan III is a singer/songwriter and musician. His songwriting incorporates lyrical poetry combined with rock, pop-punk melodies, and folk-influenced sonic soundscapes, with an indie-rock edge pulling influences from artists such as Switchfoot, Relient K, The Beatles, Colony House, and The Beach Boys. Formerly from Phoenix, Arizona, He is currently residing in Columbus, GA. His lyrical themes include dealing with loneliness, joy, finding his place in the world, and recognizing the beauty and wonder of the creator of the universe. On March 12, 2021, He released his first single, Neanderthals, a punchy, pop-punk cut that speaks to social anxiety and isolation and the process of overcoming it. On July 23rd, 2021, he released his sophomore single, "You Are There", an acoustic rock ballad inspired by psalms. His Newest Record, "TIME" made its official debut on June 24th, 2022. Through a long process, James Koan III independently managed the assembly of 12 singles sharing pieces of his journey and the process of overcoming doubt, disappointment, and uncertainty. TIME is filled with jam-packed songs, including "The Beginning", "New Chapter", and "Neanderthals". His record also hits some highly reflective songs such as TIME, You Are There, And Here & Now (Found).
