Bio
Hailing from the small city of Binghamton, NY, Jake Severson is an experienced live guitarist/vocalist. Since his humble beginning as a YouTube guitarist posting covers, he has gone on to:
- Open for national touring act Saliva
- Write, record, and release a full solo album
- Play over 100 gigs within NY and PA
- Perform as part of a pit orchestra
- Complete over 2 years of music theory courses
- Develop a strong presence in his local music scene through original and cover acts
In 2017, Jake linked up with his good friend and creative partner George Wilhelm to record his debut progressive metal concept album titled "Let's Play." In the same year, the two formed a local cover band called Hating Amy and cut their teeth on the local music scene, developing a strong following and drawing attention to their original work. Looking to the future, Jake is currently writing and preparing to jump back into the studio to record his follow-up album, due in 2021, as well as performing with original punk/alternative outfit Choose Not to Choose. Alongside those endeavors, Jake is constantly searching for new projects to contribute to as well as posting content thru Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
