Original organic acoustic music, weaving traditional sounds and instruments
together from many cultures in the vision of creating unity through the universal language of music.
This is another world-class production by music veteran and cultural icon Jah Levi and features master musicians from many cultures and musical lineages.
Originally from Philadelphia, Jah Levi, the son of world-renowned folklorist and producer Kenneth S. Goldstein, first learned guitar from the legendary Reverend Gary Davis in the 1960's, and later learned bass guitar as his main instrument. After studying music with many great musicians and master teachers, he majored in Ethnomusicology and world music studies and learned to play over 200 instruments. He maintains a collection of rare instruments from around the world at his cutting-edge recording studio in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he records and produces albums with musical masters in multiple genres.
Jah Levi has toured for over 35 years and released 40 albums of original
music, performing his unique blend of reggae and world fusion at top music venues and festivals such as the
Glastonbury Festival (England), the Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival, Unite in Babylon (Tel Aviv), the
Philadelphia Folk Fest, Reggae on the River, the Seattle Hemp Fest,
Mystic Rising, Beloved Festival, and many others.
His music continues to influence people with a powerful synergy of uplifting music and thought-provoking lyrics, truly medicine for the hungry and afflicted soul, spreading a message of love and unity for all beings.
