Jacob Alexander

Jacob Alexander is an artist who doesn't want to create within boundaries. A high school senior - hailing from northeast of Philadelphia - Jacob has been making music for over half his life. Performing as a DJ, his music consists of house, synth pop, funk, indie, ambient, and alternative, coexisting as one sound. Jacob Alexander is an artist who will continue making music for a long time. After noodling with music, playing in ensembles, and being heavily influenced by the energy of music festivals, he became the designated Disc Jockey of his school - DJing & MCing dances, all nighters, local events and homecomings - inspiring him to expand and create original music that could be performed in this setting. Upon this came the discovery of production, where you can literally create any music you want. After about four years of perfecting this,  his sound is finally becoming that of a legitimate artist.

Jacob Alexander’s sound is marked by bittersweet melodies, ambient walls and breathy vocals, as well as four to the floor beats, euphoric minimoog chords, and vocal chops. Inspired by the likes of M83, Arcade Fire, Porter Robinson, Axwell, and many more, the sound of Jacob Alexander’s music is constantly evolving. However, the one thing that tends to stay the same is the music’s maximalism. This music has been described as euphoric and in your face while still being dynamically vast, being able to go from a soft lullaby to a full on stadium anthem in seconds. This is only the beginning of a career, meaning that we can only go up from here.
