JACLYN BROWN
Jaclyn Brown, the proud owner of a degree in Studio and Jazz Vocal Performance, a truckload of talent, and a warm, charming smile, presents us with thirteen self-penned and performed country and folk-spirited pop songs. And the Nashville lady’s creations are professional, confident, and assured; she sounds well at ease and comfortable within the musical playing field she has chosen.
‘Did You Think’ is a catchy and enjoyable Eagles-tinged statement of intent, and via some rich production quality immediately showcases the ability of the Tennessee songstress; there’s strong vocals, excellent musicianship, and experienced song-writing talent. ‘I’m Built for Luxury’ adopts a bluesy approach as a vehicle for some cheeky lyrics; Jaclyn refreshingly turns the current diet-obsessed image-conscious society onto it’s head by exhibiting sympathy for the victims of this modern phenomenon: ‘When I see the perfect model on TV, I say ‘Poor little girl, she’ll never have it like me’’ and ‘Hips can be a blessing it you know what they’re for’. ‘He’s Still in Love With Me’ is a sad, poignant, and honest reflection upon a relationship which has become a one-sided love story – ‘There’s no way to let down easily/I’m not in love with him/he’s still in love with me’. And ‘Long Gone for Good’ is a clever and funny country ditty, which benefits from some imaginative lyrical tricks – ‘And you can kiss my/ask no more questions’ - and a catchy chorus too.
All songs here are precision performed, well written, and enjoyable expeditions into country and folk territory, and to her credit Jaclyn has a wonderful voice, an abundance of natural talent, and a winning ethos for working on her passion.

Bio
Jaclyn Brown is an American songwriter, live performer and session singer from Nashville, currently residing in New York. She directs Chick Singer Night, the nation’s longest running songfest for female artists, and sings in the recording studio for clients such as Disney, Musical Theatre International, McDonald’s, LifeWay Baptist Publishing, Hershey Park, The Methodist Publishing House, and countless songwriter demos. Her songs have been featured on the Hot Girl Diet Mix CD, multiple independent films, and most recently in the documentary FAT.
With a music degree from the University of Miami, the prolific Brown capitalizes on a diversity of influences and experiences in crafting some of the most poignant songs to emerge from her generation. Her bright voice and matching smile make audiences feel at home whenever she’s on stage.
Growing up in Nashville with a session pianist for a father, Brown had many opportunities to hear and learn from established artists and writers, like Brenda Lee and Kathy Mattea. She has performed with and/or recorded with Lady Antebellum, Chip Esten, Lennon & Maisy, Joe Diffie, Riders In The Sky, Jamie O’Neal, Farewell Angelina, Jesse Terry, and many more. Brown worked with country singer/songwriter Lari White and her husband, hit songwriter Chuck Cannon, as well as Nashville hit-maker Darrell Scott, each of whom greatly encourage and inspire her to continue writing and performing.
Jaclyn enjoys all styles of music. Her favorite songs are “Yesterday” by Paul McCartney and whatever she wrote this morning. Her newest CD of original material Paper Doll is available on iTunes and wherever music is sold.
