J.Hicks is a singer-songwriter who was born on April 10, 1996, in Memphis, TN. From a child, J.Hicks was known for having a musical background, he also joined the choirs in church, junior high and high school. In his junior high years, he began to express himself through writing songs. His mother/manager saw his love for music early on and bought him a home studio with the little money she had when he was in high school, and J.Hicks started recording in high school and began to get more serious about his sound in his senior year. Attending college wasn't in his plans at all. His mother encouraged him to follow his dreams and not to go to college if it wasn't in his heart. So with full support from his mother, family, and friends, J.Hicks presses forward by using and spreading his gifts which is singing and songwriting to the world.
