Bio
A Melodic Progressive Death Metal band from Houston, Intravoid was founded by Coleman Overbey, and Hayden Hawthorn in 2018. Later joined by vocalist Cade Cantrell in early 2019, drummer Alex Thornhill in the winter of 2019, then Adam Vogt and Aiden Zigman in 2021.
In February 2021, the band released "Kakorrhaphiophobia"; the first of a series of singles leading to their first full length album, followed by the second single "Malevolence" in April 2021.
Today, the band has experimented with a combination of sounds ranging from the catchy hard rock of "As Dream Returns To Nightmare", to the overwhelming blackened noise of "He Who Looms In The Distance" and the djenty progression of "Kakorrhaphiophobia".
Heavy influences include Meshuggah, Trivium, Slayer, Avenged Sevenfold, Wintersun, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Pinkly Smooth, Periphery, Gojira, and Pantera.
Intravoid currently consists of lead guitarist Coleman Overbey, vocalist Cade Cantrell, drummer Alex Thornhill, rhythm guitarist Adam Vogt, and bassist Aiden Zigman.
