Bio:
Indigo Blak (Jarreau Walker) is an American recording artist, singer-songwriter and producer, with most noted musical influences by: Prince, Jimi Hendrix, George Clinton, Stevie Wonder and Andre 3000, just to name a few. Indigo Blak was born in Colorado and raised in Central Illinois, where he began developing a passion for all art-forms. At an early age, Indigo Blak was always surrounded by music. With his mother, an organist; His aunt, a choir director; and father, an avid music collector, these influences led to Indigo Blak teaching himself to play the keyboards. Soon after, Indigo Blak joined his mother and siblings in the church choir, and further developed his ear and skills for making good music. While in elementary school, Indigo Blak formed a singing group, along with a few close friends, cousins and siblings. They remained together into high school, and performed regionally, as well as out of state. While in high school, Indigo Blak began to explore more of the ins-and-outs of music production, and launched his first “self-produced” music project featuring a few new friends from high school. Although distribution of that project did not go too far, it was deeply inspirational and provided Indigo Blak with a greater overall purpose. After high school, Indigo Blak moved to Florida, where he studied music production at Full Sail University. He eventually joined a local band, as an auxiliary keyboard player, and lead vocalist. However, after playing several gigs in the local market, Indigo Blak decided to go solo, and plot his own course and career. With a broad range of creative ideas, and his widely eclectic musical taste, Indigo Blak has been able to create sounds that are truly reminiscent of days gone by, yet positively projective of the best things yet to come. Now, in 2015, Indigo Blak is setting the stage for his new “Indigo Evolution”, which includes his Special Edition, digitally remixed, and re-mastered release of “Love Lost Bizarre”; as well as the premier of his new online video show, “Indigo Zone”. The result is a cornucopia of sight, sound, and wonder that gives one a breath of fresh air, and a peek into another realm of possibility and reality for what is known as popular music.
