Bio
A power trio who exhibits an organic blend of blues rock and hard rock, featuring overtones of soul and nu-metal with a pop sensibility. With a "Rage..."-like rhythm section pumping from beneath the Gilmour influenced guitaring that accompanies vocals resembling an early "Maroon 5"; Ignation explores the parameters of human condition and divine love through their lyrics.
The group was formed by three brothers in the Autumn of 2010 under the name, "Armaita." Zac and Josiah had found themselves collaborating on new material while gradually exiting the throws of a dissolving (previous) band. They both knew that to continue, a new project must be started. Thus, an overwhelming demand for a reliable drummer. While overhearing their youngest brother drumming to Nirvana's "In Bloom", one suggested to the other, "Why don't we try the drummer two rooms over?" The three jammed in Aaron's room and stumbled over a natural yet unfamiliar collision of music textures. Coined by Josiah as "funky space metal". The three brothers began to use each song as a catapult into the band's ever-growing chemistry. By the spring of 2012, they had found themselves with a new name and double the amount of original repertoire for their live shows.
In late January of 2014, the group underwent a line-up change. By the beginning of March, Ben Bushen had joined as the band's drummer throughout 2014. Ignation continues in the never-ending pursuit, deeper into their passion as times change.
