After only a year and a half in Toronto, Nigerian artist Idris Lawal is already making waves on Toronto’s music scene. On Thursday March 14th, he premiered the music video for his newest single JORDAN, followed by a performance of new songs that are set to be released in 2019.

Bio
Born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1992 – Idris Lawal is a musician & designer. Spending parts of his development years in various countries – Nigeria – Qatar – South-Africa – Canada, his early exposure to different cultures became the foundation for his multi-genre sound today.
Initially fronting an Ottawa based alt-rap music group – tadé – he now resides in Toronto where he releases music, solo as Idris Lawal. He is also a Creative Advertising Executive at Ogilvy, honing his passion for building brands.
He earned a Marketing & Entrepreneurship degree from the Telfer School of Management - University of Ottawa, and then went on to attend the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin College, Ottawa. It was during these years that Idris Lawal would develop his love for converging the different fields of music, copy, and design.
