Bio
In a business where many are pressured to find one style, or copy trends Michigan-
based Ryan Raw plans to do the opposite. Born Ryan Anthony Wint (RAW) in New
York but spending his youth in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ryan Raw has been making
music since his parents could remember. Grandson of a Jamaican dancehall DJ and
son of a New York based Jamaican DJ, Raw has always been influenced by music. At
the age of 14 he recorded, pressed and released his first mixtape. Although not a
major success by any means Ryan was hungry for respect. Over the years of
perfecting his sound, Raw has shared the stage with a large variety of artist
expanding from G-Eazy to Spaceghostpurp to Big Krit, and Logic. Having such
balanced influence by artists like Jay Z, UGK, Snoop Dogg, Pharrell and Curren$y
amongst others, he is known to create anything from your vintage boom bap style
song to an 808 banger without breaking a swear. After a productive year of
releasing music, touring and lots of practice, Raw is ready to take it to the next level
with what he’s been working on.
