Time and time again, we are blessed with music that pushes limits and boundaries with a creativity and versatility that leaves us wondering how and wanting more. With his latest effort, Deverano pushes himself into a special place in music production and writing: the Latin crossover. We may have a new “Salsa & B” star among us.

Hip hop and Latin sonics have proven to work well together throughout history. Deverano has clearly done his homework and added his own flare with a dash of future bass stylings. It’s almost as if he sat down in the studio and commanded the genres to seamlessly work together to create a banger so smooth, you can’t help but become entranced by the story that he tells.

Our songwriting competition #WriteforRoyalty has come to a close and after reviewing all the amazing submissions, we are excited to announce Daniel Villalba aka Deverano as our winner!
Deverano is a singer, writer, rapper, musician, producer, actor and filmmaker from Staten Island, NY. By age 14, he was already proving himself to be a formidable multi-talented musician and vocalist. Proficient in various instruments, he worked in several bands throughout his high school years. With influences ranging from Metal, Arabic, Pop, Electronic, Hip Hop and R&B, Deverano had established his sound by the age of 23, consisting of percussive drum grooves, melodic and airy synths, ambient vocals and, theatrically orchestrated compositions.
"Deverano rose to the top in a pool of professional and competitive songs," says Roynet President and Founder Frank Liwall. "We're inspired by his enthusiasm and ability to follow direction, and look forward to working closely with him in the coming years."

Last week a multi-faceted artist dropped a sensational single and revealed, yet again, how far his skills truly span.

“Mírame” rushes with romance as Deverano’s soulful Spanish vocals caress sweet sounds of the Salsa & Blues rhythm. This singer-writer-rapper-musician-producer-actor-filmmaker from Staten Island pours his heart into this love story about wanting to be more than just a friend.

Deverano delivers this performance with poetic lyrics that are beautiful both in Spanish as well as English over a bass-heavy Latin flare. Specifically, this unpredictable instrumental switches between deep, heavy sounds and softer seductive ones. Deverano uses this platform to showcase his wordsmithing as such as, “Miro sus ojos y me inspire/Solo quiere que sea su amigo/Para mí sería un castigo.” Or as a true romantic would say, “I look in her eyes and get inspired/She wants me to just be a friend/That's a punishment for me.”

As the only Spanish record by Deverano, it’s safe to say “Mírame” is fuego #DopeOnRepeat - Dope On Repeat
