Bio
Hailing from sunny Miami, Florida, I Died A Hero began delivering its head crushing grooves, tasty and technical riffs and solos, and epic choruses to the South Florida metal scene in 2014. The quintet’s unprecedented style pushes all limits imaginable, bringing a new dose of creativity and versatility to the Metal genre never seen before. I Died A Hero combines raw heaviness, melody, harmony, and technicality to produce a wholesome, satisfying sound – and it doesn’t disappoint. Crowds and peers have demonstrated reactions of utter awe, curiosity, and enjoyment to the band’s unique approach. The combination of John Giraldo’s menacing vocals, guitarists Carlos Fernandez’s and Marcelo Perea’s mad riffing and soloing, Noah Glass’s slapping, popping, and plucking basslines, as well as percussionist David Alfaro’s tight rhythms and fills defines I Died A Hero’s musical persona. With their musicianship, professionalism, and passion for creating great music, the quintet’s talent and attitude create a perfect synergy. The group released their debut album, Inferno, in November of 2014 and has plans for new music in 2016 that will furthermore expand the horizons of their sound and Metal altogether. With much to bring to the table, I Died A Hero just may spark a new wave of innovation in the world of heavy music.
