“What is an EL34 ? An EL34 is a type of vacuum tube (valve) commonly used in musical instrument amplification hardware. Howard's EL34s however, are Bob Godwin (bass) & Charles Stuart (drums) who underpin HG's every lick & bend with punch & drive, just like a good rhythm section should... The bottom line is that Howard Glazer & The EL34s are a rock-solid Blues-rock ensemble with the emphasis firmly on Blues.” - England- Judge Jones

“Howard puts his heart and soul into the vocals as well as into the guitar - Peter "BLEWZZMAN" Lauro -USA
“there is also more than a hint of the Motor City’s rich rock and roll legacy audible here. Glazer’s got that fat tone and razor sharpness. Fred ‘Sonic’ Smith meets early Johnny Winter.
- USA-Mark E. Gallo
“Virtuosity from start to finish...This well-schooled, six string marksman has learned how to zero in on chops known only to the music’s Holy Grail, having set his sights on cats like Hubert Sumlin, the early Buddy Guy and the early Johnny Winter”
- USA- George P. Seedorff
A guitar player who could slice sheet metal” - UK
“This is electric blues that rocks when it wants to, but also knows the value of restraint and when to ease up a bit. It’s that full range of dynamics that seals the deal for Brown Paper Bag - USA- George P. Seedorff

Bio
Looking In the Mirror is the new release (Street date October 21, 2014) by Detroit award winning guitarist Howard Glazer. This is a follow up to his critically acclaimed 2013 Stepchild of the Blues CD.
Looking in the Mirror features Glazer’s signature tones on electric, slide and resonator guitar. Glazer’s song writing skills are featured as well; there are several originals that will satisfy the blues purists, along with some songs that depart from the standard blues/blues rock format. Constant throughout is Glazer’s fiery fret work.
On his previous release Stepchild of the Blues guitar virtuoso Howard Glazer showcases his unmistakable tone and technique across nine original tracks. The CD draws on his eclectic musical past, delivering rootsy, blues & blues-rock. Special guests include fellow Detroit legend Harmonica Shah (marking their first new recordings together in 10 years), and Chuck Bartels (bassist for the Bettye Lavette band).
Howard recently received Outstanding Blues/R&B Instrumentalist from the 2014 Detroit Music Awards. In 2013 Howard was selected as a Downbeat Critics Choice Awards nominee (Best Rising Star Guitarist and Best Blues Artist), and was inducted into the Michigan Blues Hall Of Fame September 22, 2013.
His electrifying live shows combine powerful originals and new takes on blues and rock classics, and are known for evoking a true party atmosphere. Built on a foundation of solid musicianship, he surrounds himself with the best the Motor City has to offer (Charles David Stuart on drums and Chris Brown on bass), never failing to impress and leaving audiences hungry for more. Howard Glazer performed in the Don Was 2013 Detroit All Star Review.
In addition to countless shows in the US and Canada, hes toured overseas many times (playing in 18 countries thus far), 2014 will see him make his third appearance in four years at the Kaavi Blues Festival in Finland . Hes shared the bill with blues legends like B.B. King, David Honeyboy Edwards, Otis Rush, Lonnie Brooks and Johnny Winter, to rock luminaries such as Foghat, The Guess Who and Savoy Brown.
Howard has received endorsements from Olympus Custom Guitars (Greece) National Reso-Phonic Guitars, Stan Hinesley Handcrafted Pickups, GHS Strings, Ohlinger Amplifiers, Godin Guitars and Blues Pearl Effects.
