Bio
Hannah Rose is a singer and songwriter based in East Texas.
She has traveled all over the world and taken the opportunity to play and write with awesome musicians in Portland and in West Africa. Living and working with these musicians taught a lot about music as a way of life. It’s a pretty good way.
Hannah’s musical influences are Johnny Cash, Indigo Girls, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lief Vollebekk, and Fleetwood Mac. That's an eclectic mix -- they probably wouldn't appear together in anybody else's playlist -- but they share an intensity of emotion and honesty in their lyrics that she has always aspired to have. Hannah has also been heavily influenced by the Lebanese poet, Khalil Gibran.
Gibran's poetry has been one of the many driving forces in her songwriting over the years, and she has dedicated the title track of her album, The Prophet, to him.
